Best Laptops for Video Editing under ₹80,000

Video editing requires good hardware to seamlessly perform every cut, transition, and motion graphics. Good hardware means an expensive price tag. Is there a way to minimize your budget and get the most value out of your hardware? In this article, I have compiled a list of the best laptops for video editing under ₹80,000 in India.

I don’t say that ₹80,000 is a budget-friendly tag, however, it is not that premium either. If you are someone who wants to enthusiastically improve your video editing skills to the Pro level, you must upgrade your laptop hardware to fulfill high-end graphics requirements. I myself do video editing for my YouTube videos and know how tedious it may become when your hardware is sluggish.

Reasons to choose a laptop for video editing under ₹80,000

A price tag of ₹80,000 may sound too much for a laptop for many users. However, in my opinion, this is the perfect budget to consider a laptop for video editing. The reasons are as follows:

Remember these points

  • A good amount of RAM: In this budget, we generally get a RAM size of up to 16GB in many laptops. To render a big timeline from your video editing software, RAM capacity matters. Additionally, some laptops offer bigger RAM capacity support for later upgrades.
  • Graphic card: The more capacity of graphic card memory, the better your rendering when you have many motion graphics elements in your video. We get RTX graphics in many gaming laptops in this budget range. Gaming laptops also provide better rendering capabilities in this budget range.
  • Display: Having a great display quality is very critical for video editing. The reason is simple. You might be familiar with color grading. Imagine if you are working on a laptop that doesn’t provide color accuracy, you will end up with a bad video as an output. In this budget range, we get a 100% sRGB display with an IPS panel. Some laptops that I have listed in this article have OLED displays as well.

My top pick laptops for video editing under ₹80,000

I have included some gaming laptops in this list. The reasons I mentioned above. However, I have also included some slim laptops for ease of use. If you really want to nail down video editing, I suggest you consider gaming laptops because you can save money and time while editing videos.

If your video editing tasks are not very complicated and your timeline remains at just two tracks without too many motion graphics, then consider slim laptops.

If you are too tight on your budget, you can also consider buying a Laptop under ₹60,000 for beginner lever video editing. Check out my article on Top 5 Best Laptops for Video Editing Under ₹50,000-60,000.
